Been a long time since I have been to Hurricane Lake, went and checked it out plus a bunch of new country I have never seen!!! Absolutely beautiful.... Rent-a-Lake???? What is up with that???? Little Creek Calls Report post Posted August 2, 2017 Hurricane rent a lake is a great place for holiday (memorial day or 4th of July) or busy weekends when you want to get away from people. Fishing is usually good there early in the summer. From mid-July on there is usually a bad algae bloom and fishing gets really tough. If you are looking for a cheaper way to fish it without having to rent the whole lake for a weekend look into joining a local fly fishing club.
