MULEPACKHUNTER Report post Posted July 30, 2017 No one pack is going to feel good with 80 lbs in it. Some will carry better but it's going to suck no matter what. Exo mtn makes a 5500 Kifaru makes 30 different 5500 packs Stone glacier makes a 5200 Mystery ranch makes one I still run a 150.00 pack from Kelty works just fine If I finally upgrade for a small amount more comfort it will be either the exo or the stone glacier sky archer Also for a 3 day hunt I would go smaller like 3500, 3 days no problem with a 3500

jaymzth007 Report post Posted July 30, 2017 With your height and build, might look at a Tenzing TZ4000. I have one and it is great except im too tall for it (6'2") and cant get any lift out of the load lifters. I think it would be perfect for your height. 452b264 Report post Posted July 31, 2017 The bottom line is Arizona is hot, and a freighter frame pack breathes the best. If you gave me a top of the line pack from any of those listed above I would still use my old Cabelas freighter frame that I paid 75.00. https://www.amazon.com/ALPS-OutdoorZ-Commander-Pack-Bag/dp/B004R7L7YU
Tac Report post Posted July 31, 2017 No one has said outdoorsman pack. I have one and like it. But I have not used others.
sundance Report post Posted July 31, 2017 I like the Badlands 2200 pack with the roll out meat shelf. It packs enough gear for me to go 2-3 days on a wilderness hunt and the meat shelf works just as good as my Ox frame pack. I just ordered the new Badlands sacrifice LS, it doesn't have a meat shelf but I checked it out at a trade show and was sold on the new pouches and the fact it was so lightweight.
