2016 Elite energy 32 rest problems

I got a new rig... took it to get it set up, peep,nock loop rest, sight...

The rest I wanted (smack down pro) would not work because there is a hole in the riser where the set screw goes. Ended up with a rip cord ace. Really bummed... lot of money for a rest I'm not happy with.... any feed back or help would be appreciated

What is the big hole in the riser for?

Do you think that the set screw is really necessary? Just seems to dig into the camo and mess it up. If you tighten the main screw with loctite that should hold. I draw a line around the rest with a sharp pencil to see if it moves. If it does move in the future you will see where it is supposed to be.

Not sure what the hole is for other than to reduce weight but the smack down rest could be moved after it was installed.

JLW i can fix the smack down on the bow. You don't need the set screw.
