34A Bucks (Where are they?)

Recommended Posts

Been in 34A all of Friday and Satuday. Saw 37 deer.....every single one of them was a doe. Here's hoping next weekend goes better.

I just got back from a 3-day hunt in 35A. A friend took me to a honeyhole that has yielded bucks basically every November for the last 30 years. All we saw were does...

Seem to me like an awful lot of does out there this year compared to bucks. I used to see a buck to about every 10 does. This year has been totally different. Archery, October, and now in November I have been seeing 1 buck to about every 20-25 does. I just ended a "buck drought" in which I had seen 36 straight does without bucks this morning. I wonder why there have been so many does this year. Trust me, the bucks are there. It will just be the persistant, patient people that find them.

Same thing in 36b for us. All does and a lot of fawns. If there are fawns then there must be bucks. Gonna try again next weekend.

we saw 15 bucks and 14 does, we saw those bucks 23 times in 3 days of hunting, bucks typically live in rougher country than does in my opinion so look around ya and head for the nasty country instead. We didn't see any does where the bucks were, goodluck
