Grandpa & Grandma = burglars / their kids brought up that way = burglars / their kids, used by parents to facilitate burglaries and other crimes = future burglars/shoplifters/car thieves/meth users & cookers/prostitutes. Very vicious sad cycle. We often talked about how nice it would be to break that DNA chain. This judge's deal will, of course, fail constitutionality testing. Go figure ETA: ACLU says unconstitutional, for a choice they(inmates) control yet getting the full sentence instead of taking a responsible avenue is just fine.
