This truck came from the factory with 4" blocks over the axles and 235 85 16s

 

 

I put these 285 75 16s on and that's all the lift my tired azz needs...

I would go with a 6" and 35's. Price for the lift should be about the same. The only way to gain clearance is bigger tires. Not much point in spending +- 2k to get a lift kit installed if you only gain around an inch of clearance. I had a 7.5" lift and 35's on my 2009 chevy. Looked great

This is my 08 with a 4" lift and I believe the tires are 275/65 r18 I will look when I get home and I have never had a clearance problem where my dad's 09 stock truck has scraped the nerf bars

If you're gonna spend the money go 6" with 35's. You'll be much happier. Only go 4" and you'll just wanna go higher 6 months later.

What did you post a pic of a 5.4l 3/4 ton?

This is a 2010 Silverado with a 3" lift kit. I hardly even notice the lift now except for getting in and out. My wife hates climbing in it. Without going outside to look at the tires I would say they are 285/75/18.
