trophymaster Report post Posted November 10, 2007 A jeep is better than both of them in my opinion!!! But I think Ranger is better than a Rhino in my opinion. Bigger payload 3 people can ride quieter (rhino is very loud to ride in transmission and motor noise) more stable
Coues Sniper Report post Posted November 10, 2007 I prefer the Polaris as well. For many of the reasons trophymaster listed. Heck we had 5 people in one one time with all of our gear. The Rhino's are a little faster, and are smaller so they can fit into tighter spots, but not enough to make much of a difference. And they are a little cheaper. But having said all that the Polaris is still definitely the way to go in my opinion. Just a better machine.

HUNTMUP Report post Posted November 10, 2007 Go with the Ranger! I was going to buy an Arctic Cat or the Rhino but in a strange twist of fate ended up with the Polaris. Make sure you get the XP with the Fuel injected 700 motor. I am very glad I got the Ranger, I have numerous friends with the Rhino and one with an Arctic Cat and each brand has some great features. A friend of mine's son was recently in a roll over accident (7 months ago) with a Rhino and he will be lucky to not loose his leg and even if he can keep it he will never be the same physically again and no he was not at the dunes.. He was scouting and took a turn at about 25 miles an hour and it rolled over trapping him underneath. You will really appreciate the extra payload, better built, wider stance (less chance of roll overs.. google "Rhino Rollovers" and see what you get...) the option of three guys riding safely in the front seat and most of all the fuel injection. My Ranger starts right up and idles on its own no matter what elevation or temperature it is outside. Put some 26" tires on it and enjoy!! What ever you get be sure to look the unit over and realize the good and bad features of each, pay close attention to the way they are built and most of all get the one you like the best tht suits your needs and be careful. azhuntnut Report post Posted November 10, 2007 I will jump in here since I have owned the Sportsman, Samurai(which is close to a jeep), and now the Ranger. The samurai was great, but it took to long to get to the area I wanted to hunt. So I bought a Ranger and love it so far. It is quieter than the Rhino and feels a little more stable to me. I am adding alot of extras to mine so I can carry my two boys with me. Try to find a dealership where you can ride one and you will be sold. David
COUESAZ Report post Posted November 10, 2007 I would go with the ranger as well i need the room for all my kids and i like the fuel injection on the ranger. The yamaha is made more sporty so it zips around a bit faster and better but for payload and working i would go with the polaris. I have a jeep setting on the side of my house. I used to use it but use the atv or utv more than the jeep.
