Dead head found this weekend scouting for Elk hunt

Found a nice 7x7 bull while scouting for my elk hunt. Young bull that had great potential. Wish I could have seen him alive this year during my hunt. OH and a good looking rattler.

Had one that looked just like that tried to eat me on Monday at a job in Washington park last house under rim, I don't think you can kill those, meaning endangered not bullet proof

That's an AZ black rattler and they are not protected. Every black rattler I have come across has had a short temper. Once I tried to stone one and the SOB came right at me.

 

Rattlers that are protected are the Twin Spotted, Rock and Ridge-Nose.
