Joe Kauffman Report post Posted November 8, 2007 My son and I are gearing up for his hunt now and are shoving off around 4pm today (after school of course!). Dayight tomorrow is a time we've been waiting for for 10 years and we're both stoked! Deer down or no deer down we're sure to have a great time on his first hunt. We glassed up a couple nice bucks last weekend and quite a few coues and mulie does which really lit the fire under him. Thanks again for the help guys, I appreciate it! Nice to see ya on the site garrett. With your Dad as a guide and your time spent hunting with him and learning how to hunt yourself you should have some good pictures for us by the end of your hunt. Those bucks will be moving for sure if they stayed down today. Good luck guy's. I am watching this one all day for the pictures and the story to come. And i don't just mean the deer you will get. I want to see photos of the hunt as well. I am excited for your dad to be hunting with you. But more so excited for the hunts next year with my oldest when she goes on her first hunts. Garrett Saturday will be your day, I bet it's a 3X3! But only one soda Folk I have had the pleasure to be around Garrett for a little bit of time while he is hunting. His Dad has done well with Garrett he is one of the safest people i have been around when he has his gun. Safer than many adults I have seen. garrett kauffman Report post Posted November 11, 2007 Its the second day and we had saw some bucks and does and we got up to them but they were very sneeky and went up the side of the mountain and we never saw them again We ended the day with seeing 7 deer and 8 javelina . the stock we put on the bucks was fun but it just was not our time!! Sounds like you are getting close to showing us some photos of a downed buck.Putting time in like you are it is only a matter of time before you put it all together and conect with your first buck.
