Got To Read

Recommended Posts

As some of you know I grew up in Pennsylvania.

I found a web site called Huntingpa that I go to now and then.

About a month ago a thread came up that I have been following.

This is one of the most heart warming stories I have read and wanted to share it with you.

Pretty long (16 pages) so check it out when you have time.

Mike

Man that was a beautiful story!!!! Once i started that thread i couldn't stop. I read bits and pieces to my girlfriend as i went along. She and i were so happy things worked out for her and her two kinds. Kudos to all the hunting community that helped out and all the prayers that were sent. Gamehauler, if i don't catch the pictures and stories when they are posted, let us know so we can check it out.

Gamehauler,

RB here from HuntingPA, hey you were right this is a great site (glad you did not change your screen ID)...I have always been a fan of the coues Whitetail and the Sitka Blacktails and hope to get out West to hunt them someday soon. Think I now found a great site for gathering info on 1/2 that prusuit.

On this story you posted, I have talked to the Mom of these hunters via PM and e-mail and to hear the whole tale just stops you in your tracks. In todays world is it not often to find a non-hunting Mom who no longer has another adult around to take the boys hunting that tries so hard just to make sure that the boys do not loose track of their hunting heritage. From passing that .410 of her Dad's to her son, to trying to get them on land he hunted years ago, to making sure that the boy;s memory of their avid hunting father they lost to Luekima never fades. How can anyone who knows the meaning of big picture of hunting not do something. As you know, PA has a deer war going on now over the herd reductions etc...it has put a divide in the hunting ranks (more deer against better deer), but all that melts away immediately on stuff like this.

ANyway enough from me, you guys got a great site here..and as my schedule allows I hope to be here to learn about this special brand of whitetail I hope to one day pursue.

BEST TO ALL in the hunting community out there in AZ!! Iam sure Gamehauler will keep you guys posted on this. Thanks for the interest in it.

I wanted to bring this one back to the top.

Being as it is a long weekend you might find some time to read it.

I did not go back and reread the old posts

but if they sound a little funny

they were edited to remove the area where the hunts were to take place.

Hope you enjoy it.

Mike
