I can find tires with better prices than Discount on line or local. The warranty and locations for service is the problem.

The tire market is fierce, there is little to no money to made selling them. I work at a dealership and get cost plus 10% on tires, and it ends up being cheaper online with free shipping and no sales tax.

I just took a full set off of my wife's 25th anniversary present I bought her.

265/70r17 on Toyota TRD 4Runner rims. 330 street miles on them. Dunlop AT20 Grandtrek. They seriously still have the tits on the tread.

Rims, tires, caps, lug nuts $600. No TPMS sensors.

I am about ready for a new set of Nitto terra grapplers for my Tundra. I get on ebay and find the lowest delivered price with no sales tax and call my Discount tire and they always match the price. Usually saves me a few hundred dollars.

Second the Discount price matching.

Michelin`s, Toyo and many other brand seem to be price controlled.

I recommend building a relationship with a tire dealer. Having a good one will do more than just save you a few bucks.
