Travis,

I have been working on it for quite awhile now and getting pretty close to having some designs ready for some stickers. Bill Quimby has been doing the design work and he has come up with some nice ones. I was thinking of kinda small stickers that people could put in the back window of their pickup or other vehicle. There is a print shop here in Globe that says they can do them. Probably in the next two weeks I will try and get some done. But maybe people want some larger ones with slogans for a bumper sticker.

For t-shirts, I was thinking of maybe making some with that photo of that nice buck and doe that Bob Campbell took. That is the photo that is on the top of the main page. What do you think about that on a t-shirt?

If anyone is artistically inclined and wants to volunteer to create some designs or slogans, let me know!

I am open to suggestions on what kinds of stuff people would like. Hats? mugs? tshirts? stickers?

Amanda, it might be pricey but a good tin cloth type low profile baseball cap with a logo on it would be great..........I have a T/C contender hat like what I described and the material is impregnated with oil and it keeps the rain off and lasts a long time............I am up for any of the stuff that has been talked about............Allen.............

Thanks for such a GREAT web site, full of info and the fact that we can all share with each other the love of the outdoors and the great chase for such an advisary.

We would also be interested in some Coues.com stuff, a T-shirt with a good close up WT Coues buck I think might be better than the foto of the buck and doe at th top of the web page. That picture might be too busy or small. I would wish for a heavy button down in dark green or brown with a logo or something. THANKS AGAIN! :o

Amanda,

I can do pen and ink renderings, and would be happy to help out with t-shirt/hat or whatever(?) designs. I would throw ink on a standard 8.5" x 11" piece of mylar which any silkscreener can enlarge or reduce. Before I do any work, it would be good to know what we might be looking for, i.e., full deer; deer head; deer skull; flagging buck, or ??

one idea would be to ink a skull of a known high ranking buck (I could possibly get permission from the owner of one of the top 10 non-typicals).

I found this thread interesting and thought I would offer this option. Of coarse I would want to be paid, and could probably be bought with a finished shirt.

I think the photo ideas are very good too.

Let me know if you want me to spill some ink.

Mike

Mike--- I don't know exactly what we need. I am gonna have to start paying more attention to what kind of designs I like on shirts vs hats vs stickers. Perhaps some other people here will give some feedback on what might be good. I think your idea of getting permission for one of the top 10 bucks is a good one.

More D - I think you may be right about the frontpage photo being too busy. I have been playing around with it in photoshop to see if I can make an interesting design of it.

Allen - great idea on the hat, but price is an issue. I will look into it though.

I have a friend who just set up an embroidery shop and she might be able to do shirts and hats for a reasonable price.

Let's keep the ideas rolling!

Hey everyone!

I like the idea of a hat also. I think a non-typ skull embroidered would look cool.Let me know if you want me to see if we could use Chaz's #3 NT (was #1)I have a great picture of it but I would need to clear it with him.

Have a good one!

I would love to buy one or more for my father. He has COUES license plates and gets some great comments. Few people know about Coues in Idaho, but a select few know what the plates mean. We are both Coues fanatics. Keep up posted on when and where I can buy them. Keep up the good work!!

Prohunt,

Go ahead and check on using Charles' buck. I think that would be cool. I have a friend who just openend an embroidery shop, so she might be able to make some hats for us if we get a design.

Thanks for the ideas. I will keep you posted on what designs I get. There was a delay in getting some mailed to me, so it won't be until the end of Aug or so that I get some stuff made.

Amanda,

I will try and contact Chaz. I will let you know as soon as I can. I also have an idea about a drawing that I will run by you later.

P.S. I still need to send you some pics (I think I got all of the bugs worked out of my digital camera.)

Amanda: The embroidered t-shirt or hat would be fantastic. Also, Duwane would let you use his 139 buck as a picture...............I will ask him if you want.......Allen.........

Allen,

Thanks. You can ask him if you want, or I can. I suppose if you are gonna talk to him in the next few days go ahead and ask him. I will be up camping on Mt Lemmon doing some owl surveys. I can get in touch with him when I get back if you don't.

We will have to look at the photo and see if it would be good for an embroidery design or maybe have someone do an outline drawing of the rack on a skull. Something that would make it a better design for embroidery.

It's that big non-typical hanging in his front room. I think you saw it, but maybe take a digital camera and take a few pictures of it and see what your friend says at the embroidery shop. if you are at Mt. Lemmon, then just ask him. I will talk with him today or tomorrow but am positive it would not be a problem.............AT.......
