Canyon Point Shooter Manhunt Updates

Recommended Posts

Any recent updates about this bonehead from someone up in Rim Country? News travels slow down here in the valley or it gets buried by another wrong way driver or an overnight homicide.

The reason I ask-me and the kids have 3 nights booked at Canyon Point CG Monday-Wednesday. It will be their first camping trip and hope it can be a good experience for them. They are old enough to know what "armed and dangerous" means...................Any updates would be great. Thank-you.

If he is still "whereabouts unknown", should I still take them?

If the guy is still in the vicinity I think they would of caught him by now. He's probably gone. He doesn't look like a Danny Ray Horning type.

I typically dry camp not in a campground and have not personally had and problems myself but my dad and his friend had someone about 20 years ago come into their camp and ask them to help him put out a fire down the road at 11 pm one night. my dad said he did not appear to friendly with his kc highlighters on and acting the way he did. they told him to leave through the door and the other camper with them racked a round in the shotgun and the guy figured he better leave.

stay armed and dangerous yourself.

Apparently he has been roaming the area for two months? He's probably down in the canyon creek area near valentine ridge. Constant and plentiful water source with few people around. Just a guess because that's where I would go.

I'm sure there are plenty of trail cameras down there, I wouldn't be surprised if he shows up on one of them.

A local news station in Tucson said the guy was spotted on Apache Tribal land. Looks like he walked by some trail cams, and got his picture taken.

A man on Ft.Apache shot at Federal officers. They returned fire, and killed the man.

It is not confirmed, but the deceased matches the description of the shooter.
