GreyGhost85 Report post Posted June 23, 2017 Like the title says, Grizzly bears have been delisted in Wyoming. I doubt we see hunts for them any time soon, due to the lawsuits that will surely follow but this is a big step. Looks like when hunts are finally conducted, the plan is to charge a $6000 tag fee for nonresidents. Montana and Idaho will likely be able to delist them soon and the proposed tag fees for those states are much less.
DesertBull Report post Posted June 23, 2017 That is a bargain. Grizz hunts in Canada and Alaska start at 2x-3x that. Knowing WY though, they will require you to hire a guide. Lame. A lower 48 brown bear might be the North American trophy.
Flatlander Report post Posted June 23, 2017 There will be so few of these tags with a population of only 1,000 animals that the vast majority of us will never have to worry about the cost.
