Who put in for 31 coues?

Just wanted to see who else here put in for 31 befor this firs? I went all in I love this unit it is just hard to watch some of my hunting spots burn up the last couple days.

Glad i drew that Dec. Tag last year...i really liked that unit, might take some time to get better.

Put the wife in, we got a few bids in for it this year. Fires getting pretty big. We will still find some good bucks tho

Yeah october hunt. I think this will make preseason scouting that much more important. They'll be in there somewhere.

Back before the road was paved and it wasn't nearly as easy to get to.

Put my out of state buddy in for 31, crossing fingers for the fire not hitting certain spots

Gonna burn from trip Canyon to Swift trail from pines to creosotes and everything in between. Buck brush, mesquites, junipers and scrub oak -gone. Normally I would agree that a fire can do an area good but the fact there been no wind and it's a hot slow burning fire is not good. Huge bummer, a lot of honey holes that ain't gonna be back for years.

All we can do is hope for some rain. From a hunting stand point I think as long as it doesn't keep going for much longer we will be fine and it will be a awesome year for a tag. Its in some nasty country that was way over grown, just sucks that there isn't much they can do without mother natures help.

This is gonna be worse then the Nuttall Fire in 2004. Its at 21,000 acres as of today and with 110 degree temps in Safford and blowing wind, steep terrain, its not in favor of the forest service putting it out or anywhere close anytime some. To bad they couldn't get to it when it was a small brush fire for the first few days.

Yea the rate its going isn't looking too good. we need the rain bad. There's been a few other small fires as well on the back side from the lightning the other night.
