Frog Identification

Recommended Posts

Anyone know anything about frogs? I've searched the net and can't find anything to identify what species of frog this is. Bright yellow legs and stomach. Came from a creek near Heber. My nieces brought it home. Any ideas?

Definitely not a leopard frog. It has suction pads on its toes, which is only in the Hylids (tree frogs), and never in the ranids (leopard frogs, spotted frogs, bull frogs, etc.). That is most definitely a garden (canyon?) variety Hyla arenicolor, better known as the canyon tree frog. Very common, but very cool.
