Shooting Range?

Recommended Posts

Hello all! I am quite new at this. This will be my first post! :D I moved here in Gilbert from Flagstaff. I have a upcoming Dec. coues hunt which I am extremely excited about and counting down the days! This is my second tag since 2000. I do not have much of an access near by to go practice shooting. I normally shoot out in the country in Flagstaff or in my hometown with my family. I have rarely gone to shooting range and I know there's a shooting range near my place, Rio Salada Sportman's Club. I was wondering if anyone have experienced that shooting range or have any suggestions where I can go practice shooting the rifle? Thanks!

Rio Salado is the same as Usery Mountain if I remeber right and it is a good range. They supply sandbags and you can buy targets there for $0.25 and they also have wood frames for you to use.

Usery has everything you need out to 300 yards (metal plate)

5.00 bucks entry fee and cheap targets. Go during the week and you'll enjoy it a bit more...

Ellsworth north of McKellips.

Good Luck!

Thank you for your response!! I will definately check it out. Yes it is a shock to move from Flagstaff to Phoenix. I was in Tucson for a year but Phoenix is nothing compared to where I came from! I will be using my brother's .243 win. Some of you probably know or heard of my brother, elkhunter. I was with him and my dad during their coues hunt will be at the same unit in Dec. Got me all pumped! :D

Good to see you on here! I know that you are going to get a good one with a coues finding machine like your brother! I also heard that you were a finding machine to boot! Can't wait to see some pictures from your hunt!!!
