pwrguy Report post Posted May 30, 2017 I am looking for idea's for taking pictures and video's through my spotting scope. I currently use a Swaro STS 85mm with a phone scope adapter. Although I have no problem with the phone phone skope idea, I seem to have a lot of problems with focusing. I think a lot of it is my particular phone as I have seen a lot of great pictures taken with phone skopes. I would like to hear what others are using particularly with manual focusing. Tell me about your setup and maybe include some pictures and distances. Thanks
Kaffer62 Report post Posted May 31, 2017 I decided to go with the outdoorsmans setup myself. The phone adapter is not specific to any phone or camera. When I upgrade my phone I don't have to go and buy another case for it. The adapter just attaches with double sided tape. Works great.
Arrowsniper Report post Posted May 31, 2017 Bummer. I started with outdoorsman and now prefer phoneskope. Sounds like your camera may need serviced.
pwrguy Report post Posted May 31, 2017 I understand that different phones have different abilities. I was thinking more along the lines of a camera specific to this task that is able to be focused manually or has a very good auto-focus that works through the scope.
