Lv2hnt Report post Posted May 26, 2017 While I appreciate the above sentiments concerning men and women veterans, Memorial Day is in remembrance of those individuals who made the ultimate sacrifice. Veteran's Day is set aside for all who have served in our nation's military. We need to maintain the distinction --- there is a difference!

10Turkeys Report post Posted May 27, 2017 Memorial Day is indeed a day set aside for those who paid the ultimate sacrifice, however the way I see it any day is a good day to thank our service guys past and present. I personally want to thank my fellow vets for your service. IMHO anyone that has thrown on a uniform of some sorts and a pair of boots, has given up something.

elecshoc Report post Posted May 29, 2017 I would suggest the documentary Underfire: The Untold Story of PFC Tony Vaccaro. The story about an infantryman on the front lines in WWII who at documented the war with his own store brought camera. It shows the first hand what he saw and documented who later started working for Stars and Stripes. Goes along way in showing what those boys went through for us. Thank you to the men and woman who have given us their ultimate sacrifice.
