GameHauler Report post Posted November 2, 2007 All rightie then. I have been looking around trying to put together a lightweight, affordable pack tripod setup. I am really leaning towards this setup from Amanda. Slik Sprint Mini Tripod and Jim White panning attachment with the lightweight Slik Ball Head. The draw back I see is not having changable plates And how well will it support my Swaro spotter? COUESAZ Report post Posted November 2, 2007 TASCOS i think i saw a pair of those about 20 years ago. I use a little one that sys Niukon on it. I like it alot because it is vert light weight. I removed the arms the fold up when you put it all down to cary. They are worthless and just added extra weight and would not let the leggs fold all the way together. But with the panning attachment it is a pretty neat setup. Hopefully someone here has used the ball head/panning attachment setup and can give some feedback. Amanda I just got back from a weekend glassing up some monster carp in 12A and used my dad's outdoorsmans pistol grip ball head with your jim white pan attachment and let me tell you it was a treat. I think i might like it just as much if not more than the pan head. it was very easy to go horizontal with your eyes and them move down and repeat. definately faster than the traditional pan head just not as conventional. i think you should keep it in your options but the jim white pan head is also a great choice. ether way you really can't go wrong Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
