You can even connect directly to a smartphone and use most of the features (i.e. SMS messaging, GPS, topo maps) on the phone via an app. More importantly, you can reach and speak directly to Search and Rescue if you ever find yourself in an emergency. This item is a must for anyone who enjoys the outdoors, whether it be riding, off-roading, hiking, backpacking, hunting, etc. It does have a couple very small scratches on the front thought from my very first trip, but otherwise it is in perfect condition as it has been in the case ever since.
