elkaholic Report post Posted May 16, 2017 The one thing I enjoy about a trip up to property is the Antelope sightings So nice to see the herds along Fain road - total of 4 different bunches - both sides along 89 towards Chino - 3 different groups along the I-40 west of Ash Fork - 2 groups from my deck - at property - 2 groups guess the highlight was a couple nice bucks just past chino headed south on the west side - 70-80 score (just a glancing view while driving) close to the road good luck to all you tag holders - it should be a great yr for headgear as water and grass everywhere only bummer WINDY
bigorange Report post Posted May 16, 2017 Those bucks west of 89 south of Chino always there teasing...one loves to bed down right by the road. Taunted me a lot during my 19a hunt just outside the unit.
MT_Sourdough Report post Posted May 23, 2017 I live in Chino Valley and after a very scientific process , I'd say the herd 'round these parts is bigger and as healthy as it's been since I moved here 5 years ago. Can't speak to trophy sizes, but there's a bunch of em around here.
Explorer Report post Posted May 24, 2017 Just saw my first fawn of the year yesterday. Hopefully they have a chance against the coyotes and developers.
