HyNoon Report post Posted May 8, 2017 What's everyone running? My boy wants to customize his rifle a little more and wants a fluted bull barrel. My first thought is for accuracy improvement and second looks. I've seen the Tactical Solutions Barrel at Cabela's , but I don't know alot about them and their accuracy. They do look nice and are a little bit spendy if you get the threaded barrel. But I thought if I was ever to put a can on a 22 it would be this one, so why not spend the extra money. I've seen other barrels such as the kidd and green mountain online as well. Looking for people with first hand experience and or knowledge of the different barrels out there. Thanks

lancetkenyon Report post Posted May 8, 2017 I have a Tactical Solutions 10/22. Shoots very nice, lightweight too. I will also be upgrading a factory stock 10/22 this year. I am looking at a Kidd barrel for that one. http://www.coolguyguns.com/KIDD-22LR-Fluted-Stainless-Steel-Rifle-Bull-Barrel_p_26.html
STOMP442 Report post Posted May 8, 2017 I have used Shaw, Whistle Pig, Tactical Solutions and Green Mountain. They all shoot very well. The trick with Rim fire is finding what ammo shoots best out of your particular barrel. Best bang for the buck would probably be Green Mountain as they have a lot of different options as far as lengths contours and fluting styles with prices that won't break the bank.

HyNoon Report post Posted May 8, 2017 That silenced take down is a pretty cool concept. I don't have a take down at the moment but have thought about getting one. Thanks for the info prdatr. Lance - yes a kidd build would be very nice and very pricey not sure I won't to go that route yet. But then I would probably still want to do it later anyways , so why not do it right the first time and only have to do it once. They sell a lot of internals for the action as well that dress these guns up and improve their accuracy too. Just more money though. Stomp- thanks I will reseach some more of the barrels you have recommended and see what othe options green mountain has to offer.
sjvcon Report post Posted June 3, 2017 I had an Aluma-Lite from Majestic Arms. Not sure anyone else has experience with them, but mine shot lights out.
