Rag Horn Report post Posted May 5, 2017 Mulepackhunter is right about pressure, with one exception about 1/4 will be working the Rim road from Pinedale to 260 looking for Bulls moving on and off the Res line... Nothing wrong with that late tag and possibility at quality bulls... IMO getting some scouting N of the 260 would be a good thing. Thanks. That is good to know. rossislider Report post Posted May 5, 2017 I'll be making multiple scouting trips up there throughout the summer and going into fall. My info won't be much good to you on a late bull hunt, but I'd be happy to help if I can.
Outdoorlife602 Report post Posted June 8, 2017 Rag Horn, I have the same tag and it will be my first time hunting the unit. Are you solo? I wouldn't mind teaming up for some scouting or even for the hunt.

Rag Horn Report post Posted July 21, 2017 Rag Horn....you checked your cams lately???? Now that the shooter/fire bug idiot is no longer haunting through the forest I need to get up there and do a camera run. I hope to find a picture with a huge Bull holding a sign saying he would be right here December 1st. I don't think that's too much to expect.
Bubbacoues2 Report post Posted August 28, 2017 I was up in 3a last weekend and found a pocket of 15 bulls on one hill side. I know it's going to be different from now compared to the late hunt but I don't mind sharing if you'd like to PM me.
105Coues Report post Posted August 30, 2017 My daughter had it last year (our first time hunting it) and it was tough but we put in a lot of time and she nailed a 5point. Seemed like there were a lot of hunters everywhere we went but i am sure others know the unit way better than us. I drew a late archery tag in the unit this year so i will be out prior to yours. All hunts are good just some are better than others!
Non-Typical Solutions Report post Posted August 30, 2017 As we head into the stretch here scouting and all I am reminded of a time when RagHorns old man had the same tag! RagHorn was supposed to be up high keeping an eye out while his old man was down in the cedars below! The only thing RagHorn was keeping his eyes on was the backside of his eyelids!!!! Looking forward to return the same help here in a couple of months!!!
