BOHNTR Report post Posted April 30, 2017 Whatever happened to Mclendon's strip buck? Did he decide not to strip the velvetor something? McClendon's buck was stripped and officially measured 204 7/8" at panel in 2015, making it #2 at the time. The new P&Y world record was special panel measured at the April 2017 Convention.........It has some awesome tine length. Just goes to show you that a wide deer is not necessary for record class animal.

azelkhunter69 Report post Posted May 1, 2017 Whatever happened to Mclendon's strip buck? Did he decide not to strip the velvetor something? I wondered the same thing, that's why I started searching. Apparently, they originally scored that deer at 207 and change. Once officially scored, it was less. https://pope-young.org/records/top_ten.asp?sid=
