HOSS.... Report post Posted April 5, 2017 Auction Tag Hunter Jim.... shot this heavy ram December 2016 on the San Carlos. I was blessed to join him on the hunt. Super nice guy and dropped the ram in his tracks at 320 yards. Our number 1 ram broke 3/4 his horn off and had to settle for 2nd best ram. God bless u hard core hunters this year and stay safe. Do they have a highest bidder auction for a sheep tag each year? Well basically the tribe had contract with SFW for 3 years to auction off elk, bighorn sheep and coues. So yes it went to the highest bidder at the show in Salt Lake City. There is no longer any auctions for big game on the Rez for now for last year was the last year of auction contract.
