Allforelk Report post Posted March 30, 2017 Its colder than a well diggers *** This man is correct. The late bull hunt can have you stripped down to base layers in the afternoon if you're working. The cow hunt starts a week later and has froze 5 gallon water jugs solid that were left outside the supply tent. Our guys in '13 had little snow but highs in the low double digits for 5 days straight. The animals stay semi local though. Sent a PM.
Hoss50 Report post Posted March 30, 2017 Ready my response in the Unit 10 thread. Same applies here. The one thing I will, and it applies in all units, but especially in unit 8 is get away from the roads. There are tons of road hunters and the farther from them you are the better you will be. Also, don't just scout high in the pines. If it is cold they can and will be down in the junipers.
