Dog scared of wind

I got a dog that freaks out anytime the wind starts blowing above 20 mph. Tail between his legs, piddling, seeking shelter, frantic, etc. Any ideas on how to break him?

i have a lab who hates water and gun shots. never used to be. Woke up one day and said um ill be a wiener dog today. Figure that one out.

I believe you going to have to hire someone for that. Very tricky situations that take time.

Talk to a trainer, look into a stress jacket for the dog during windy days.

This all starts when they are puppies. Getting dogs exposed to different things at a young age is key.

This was a heeler rescue that is 3 years old. We got him a year ago so we missed that key time as a puppy. I've been able to break him of his other anxiety and gun break him, but this wind thing is killing me. I'm thinking about putting his food near a fan.

 

Whenever he gets in a stress jacket he just sits and won't move. Thanks for the suggestions so far. Keep 'em coming.

My heeler hates the wind too. He doesn't mind the back of the truck but if it's windy outside he gets anxiety.

We have the stress jacket for one dog. She gets nervous about thunder. It definitely helps.
