Saguaro Report post Posted March 6, 2017 Does anyone here have the S&W 986? It seems like it would be fun. I don't need a new gun, but you know how enthusiasts are. I have a 9mm AR and I love S&W so I really want purchasing one to make sense. I've thought about this one for about a year now and would like to hear from you guys. Curtis Reed Report post Posted March 6, 2017 I bought a new Ruger LCR around Christmas time and almost got the 9mm version. I decided I dint want to rely on having moon clip available for reliable use so i got the 38+p model. Normally, you can shoot a 9mm revolver without clips but you'll need to carry a pencil with you to push the empties out of the cylinder. They won't extract without the clips.
