cactusjack Report post Posted March 2, 2017 I have a Ruger 77-44 suppressed and it is super quiet, but 44Spl are not the cheap and 44mag are not cheap or subsonic.I found/bought 2 Enfield 303 British No 4s that Golden State Arms converted back in the 50s and 60s that were perfect donor guns to convert to 45acp and suppress. The conversions were done by Special Interest Arms. I had one done as an SBR (notice the Montecarlo Stock!) and the other full length 45acp. I sent the regular one to Innovative Arms for him to build an integral suppressor kinda like the DeLisle Carbine from WW2, but with a removable core. Innovative had never done one before but wanted to give it a go. I gave him carte blanche, go crazy. I wanted an integrally suppressed rile so I didn't have to SBR it and deal with filing the paperwork to travel across state lines. (Fun fact, you can travel with suppressors across state lines without any problem, but with SBR, Machineguns, AOW, Shot Barrel Shotguns, you have to submit for permission/notification) The scope I'm using is a VX3 2.5-8 with the Boone and Crockett reticle. I will figure out the yardage of each hashmark this weekend. Excited to shoot the new one.

cactusjack Report post Posted March 5, 2017 I shot them both today. I had fired the one with the rail on it before, and it is quiet. Well today's shooting experience is going to cost me dearly. I am going to find a new front stock and have the SBR Enfield converted to an Integral. The integral is the quietest 45acp rifle I have ever not heard. I will try to upload a video. Talk about fun. A bonus. I mounted the VX3 2.5-8 on it that I had sighted in for my 6.5 Creedmore, and at 50 yards and 100 yards I was flipping the hostage on my target. Zero sight in. Amazing.
