hoghntr Report post Posted February 27, 2017 Ok I went on a state record mission for archery piggy that I hunted for few years and just could never arrow him... Time flus and 8 maybe 9 yrs went by while I told this guy to shoot that 1 and another guy to take this 1 etc.. Next thing I know I'm missing out on summer sausage and actually did then try few years and felt little jinxed. Today I am in RECOVERY! Although it's not my state record archery pig I was chasing for few years it is a nice boar that got smacked by my 243 wsssm! Now you can drive a volkswagon thru his shoulder but sure was fun. I also took a 1st timer and he got 11st crack of course. he shot a MONSTER and I did not ask permission to post his pic but cropped it so you can see his noggin 15 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

When I got home considering I had pig poop going down my arms and even on my neck I didn't do much loving on him I looked at him from a distance. LOL but I will make up for lost time today with him :-). On a side note guys after many years of hunting javelina I found something that helps remove the smell from your body it's called Pine Tar Soap. Wife had a rash during pregnancy one of the things they recommended was Pine Tar Soap so I ordered multiple bars of it and last night when I got home I scrub from head to toe with pine tar soap for 10 minutes and I don't smell like a javelina at all and I carried him out of my neck. Now you got me curious.Not sure this still stands but was or is Year Taken: 1993Location: UNIT 30B Hunter: TOM GOODWIN Score: 15 4/16 I'm pretty sure I had 2 canidates few years back but old and smart. Often these end up solo pigs outted by New young stud and they will look like a Bison all front with tiny butt! Sometimes maybe just a 25lb pig cuz so old but the head will be like a tank.
