Adicted Report post Posted February 21, 2017 I want to get where its still cool out so we can have a big fire at night. About 5 trucks and trailers with SXS's and dirtbikes. Looking for a place thats not in a designated campground. Want it to be away from most crowds so the kids can ride all day long from Camp. Was going to go into 5BN by lake mary but forget the forest is closed till about end of March and April time. I will be going Mid March. Any ideas?

el diablo Report post Posted February 21, 2017 Friend of mines family has a big family reunion every yr by perkins tank in 8. There a big area on your way into it that has plenty of room for all the trailers. Close to other lakes in the area to do some fishing too.
ThomC Report post Posted February 21, 2017 Your joking right. If not you need to take all of that noise and junk to a KOA. We dont need no Disneylands or rock and roll in the woods.
Adicted Report post Posted February 21, 2017 Forgot u owned the woods. Maybe we should just raise or Kids to be POS's in the city instead of raising them in a family having fun out in the country. Good one. Nice post
mattys281 Report post Posted February 21, 2017 Not sure of the unit (21 maybe?), but Sheeps Crossing on the Verde would be pretty sweet in mid march. It'd be nice enough during the day to tempt you to stick your foot in the water, but cold enough at night to keep you real close to the fire. I've seen several people get right down by the river in 2 wheel drive pick-ups, so I'd think you'd be alright, but I haven't been there in years now.

MULEPACKHUNTER Report post Posted February 22, 2017 Your not going to take trailers to Sheeps crossing, road is bad. I would suggest jackass flats near wickenburg. Huge open area to camp and it usually has other atv and utv. You will need to bring firewood though. Very nice at night out here. Still nice during the day too. Tons of miles of trails out there. It's up castle hot springs road
MULEPACKHUNTER Report post Posted February 22, 2017 Some of my family spent thanksgiving out there a few years and we went up and had a good time. Everyone out there seems respectful. I ride my mules out there as well. All the riders are cool around the animals.
MULEPACKHUNTER Report post Posted February 22, 2017 Hey another great place would be camp wood, there's a designated atv area up there in the woods. My son raced dirt bikes up there a few times. Lots of trails and very cold up there still. It's up north of Prescott on Williams valley rd
