Burros are horse lovers horses and pigs are just pigs.......seems like they really could have let some hunters have some pig fun and go in there and help take care of the problem......wonder what the reasoning is behind not opening it up??? 300RUM Report post Posted February 17, 2017 Last I knew AZGFD did not regulate hunting them because they were feral domestic animals. If the land management agency or property owner gave you the OK you could hunt them, no tag needed. This was at least 6 years ago so things may have changed. My partner and I grabbed leftover turkey tags in 13B, got our birds, then went looking for some of these pigs that are up there. We didn't find them but you could sure tell where they had been. There is no way they get rid of them without a long drawn out fight with lots of people on the ground and in the air. If they would just sell some tags for $20 each, or better yet just open the area to pig hunting only, they would make/save money and control the herd at the same time.
