pwrguy Report post Posted February 11, 2017 I went out this afternoon to check my trailcam. There were over 4400 pictures on the card to sift through, here are some of the cooler ones. In the one picture it looks like the buck may have some blood on his horn? The other nicer buck looks like he has a smile on his face but I'm not sure why, the rut was over by the time this picture was taken. mattys281 Report post Posted February 11, 2017 That's how they look when they're working the rocks out of a mouth full of salty dirt. They eat the dirt but spit out the rocks, that's why on really old salt licks they look like giant holes with gravel covered bottoms. There's some on the kaibab that are about 10 ft. diameter. pwrguy Report post Posted February 12, 2017 This one is a Browning BTC-5HD. I am experimenting with how to set it up, how many shots in the burst and how much time in between. I have had this camera in the same location for about 2 years and it has been one of the best I have had. I get very few false triggers. I have it set at the lowest megapixel so that I can fit as many pictures on the SD card as possible. Unfortunately this go around about 90% of the pictures were of cattle, rabbits and does. pwrguy Report post Posted February 12, 2017 I have been using mostly sandisk cards. Battery life is going to be very subjective. I have had this camera go 5 months on 6 alkaline AA batteries. But it is going to depend on how much traffic you are getting, how many shots per burst etc. If it is a low traffic area you can go a long time on quality lithium batteries. To go for long periods of time you will need to install large capacity cards so that you don't fill the card before the battery dies. 2 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
