Guest oneshot Report post Posted February 3, 2017 ... if your 'hood is around Ventana Canyon, Tucson foot-hills... Young adult male, sleek fur, looks wellfed, we squeeked at him alittle, No concern, No worries, he just slowly walked between a couple of homes doing the cat-thing... (was half expecting him to come around the other side of the house with Fluffy the poodle in his mouth...)

Snapshot Report post Posted February 3, 2017 I was up on the north side working last week. There were 2 fat and sassy coyotes in a small clearing next to the property I was at. I pulled up a distressed rabbit call on my cell phone. Drove them crazy for a few minutes.

GreyGhost85 Report post Posted February 3, 2017 I would bet the house on a bobcat over any domestic K9.

He could find a Rottweiler instead of a poodle. Very true, but the rotty would remember that encounter.

Hoss50 Report post Posted February 4, 2017 I have a little pit bull mix that would go after that thing in a heart beat. She may not win, she would give a heck of a fight. Her record with feline invaders in our backyard is pretty impressive. Sweetest dog you ever met unless you are a cat in her yard. I have a rottie that would act tough but take a beating from that kitty. The st Bernard too. They are not tough like the terrier.
Allforelk Report post Posted February 4, 2017 I inherited a little dachshund female through marriage that would try and take a piece. She might die trying, but she would probably get a piece.

Those dogs have no fear. Pound for pound they are scrappers for sure. They are just at a size disadvantage compared to bigger dogs. They walk the walk though unlike alot of small dogs that are just talkers.
muledeerarea33? Report post Posted February 4, 2017 My lil ann would pry kill it. Not sayin she's mean but a 100lb mastif boxer mix that loves her family? She protects us! Had a coyote at work today and everyone wanted pictures, I wanted to shoot it. That coyote is gonna be social media fame this weekend, 10-15 city guys got pictures of the "wild life" walking on black top. Kinda sad.
300RUM Report post Posted February 4, 2017 I would bet the house on a bobcat over any domestic K9. You could easily loose the house on that one. Yes, the bobcat can dish out some damage. A bobcat is not going to take a rottie down by grabbing it by the neck in typical cat fashion, the rottie's neck is just to thick and muscular. If it tries it will get the back half of it's own body bit. The rottie can completely destroy any part of the cat it can get it's mouth on. A rottie's bite is powerful enough crush the bones in your arm.
