bigorange Report post Posted January 19, 2017 Looking for a decent flask to keep in my pack for celebratory or "medicinal" purposes...lots of reviews on cheaper ones that I see on Amazon report discoloration or metallic tastes imparted. Anyone have a nice one they'd recommend that doesn't weigh a lot or would break the bank?

Viper Report post Posted January 19, 2017 I bought this one from REI. Haven't used it yet. Gets good reviews regarding taste. https://www.rei.com/product/836469/nalgene-flask-12-fl-oz#

Tac Report post Posted January 19, 2017 I like tequila but it seems alot like whisky. Vodka is a good option too! HAHA
Ringer Report post Posted January 19, 2017 Use an empty Dasani water bottle. They are thicker than most and won't spoil the punch.
CatfishKev Report post Posted January 20, 2017 They make plastic ones similar to a hydration bladder. Doesn't add any extra weight.
Hunterjohnny Report post Posted January 20, 2017 Stanley flask. http://www.stanley-pmi.com/store/stanley/pd/productID.325303000 I liked that until I saw Stanley's picture, I don't feel comfortable drinking around those two.
bigorange Report post Posted January 20, 2017 Thanks for all the feedback. Yeah those 2 don't look like any of my hunting buddies, but I'd share a flask with just about anyone depending on what's in it. I had a classic metal flask in mind when I posted this, but I think a nalgene or collapsible may fill the need better for my hunting pack. Thermos and 750ml bottle will stay in camp.
