Favorite "Non-Steak House" Restaurant in the Valley?

Recommended Posts

I had my company Christmas dinner at Rodizio Grill last week and left there stuffed. It is the Brazilian style restaurant where they bring you all the meats on a spit and carve off what you want. And the best thing is it is only $29 per person. I am pretty sure that they just opened not long ago. Excellent food and service. Someone else mentioned the Angry Crab. Really liked that too.

I used to live in Brazil and love some Brazilian churrasco. Didn't realize this one opened.

Give St. Francis a try!

Its on Camelback & 7th St... neat place and Aaron is on top of his game. His place was on DDD w/Guy Fierri too. Kinda partial, he's an extended family

+1 for St, Francis and definitely try their green chile with corn bread. You wont be disappointed.

For authentic Mexican in central Phoenix look for Comedor Guadalajara.. Very good and well priced and nice eating environment. Also downtown is Arrogant Butcher love that place too I reccomend all their sandwiches and jambalaya is good too..Papa Deux is good too but its more of cajun style sea food so you have to be in the mood for it but its good stuff, I love their calamari.

Wow a CWT member who knows about Tacos La Hacienda!!! I'm impressed.. Hands down the best street tacos in AZ with home made corn tortillas.. I been eating at the truck on 3rd street and Buckeye for years..

Their Carne Asada is hit or miss. But the Pastor is some of the best I have ever had, and what I always go back for. I really do wish it was not so dang good and I could convince myself to try the Lengua and Buche.

There's a ton of other places I really do enjoy, but those were just the ones off the top of my head, as I've been to all but 4 of them this month, and several are in my weekly rotation. I love good food, and no issues traveling to have some. I actually checked to see how many airline miles I had left when I heard yesterday morning that Carnegie Deli was closing in NYC...
