Gila Hollows Duck hunt

Me and a friend are going to duck hunt there January 14th. A guide/caller and dog is included.

Anyone hunt there before?

I've been looking at them for a while. Please let us know how you do, because I've been very tempted to hunt with them too. After looking at all their pictures I would assume you will have a great time!

We're going to take my 5th wheel down there early on and do some predator hunting in the area, stay in the trailer the night before the duck hunt, then get up early and go. Should be a hoot. I'll post the results for sure.

Well, it wasn't good. A full moon had low to no duck movements. We each got 1 duck, which were the only 2 opportunities. There was a ton of shooting at a nearby pond, we were told the hunters were trespassing. Wondered why we weren't over there where there seemed to be a lot more action.

The owner was a real nice guy, but I don't think I would go back to hunt there.

Bummer... ya the moon sure was bright that weekend.

 

If he's got trespassers who are impacting his business and isn't putting some effort toward prosecuting them, that just doesn't make sense and doesn't present a good image to his customers.
