WTB 6.5x284

Recommended Posts

Like the title says, i'm looking for a 6.5x284. Looking to lighten up the pack some and i love this cartiridge. Not really sold on any particular make/model as long as it's a shooter, and not interested in any other cartirdges. Also, prefer 24-26" barrel and not too heavy. If anyone has anything, send me a PM. I'll probably bite the bullet and buy new in a week or so if nobody has one they want to part with.

For that caliber, why not go custom and have exactly what you want? Unless your going to buy a Savage most rifles in 6.5-284 are pretty pricey anyway.

I have a custom 6.5x284 that I'd part with.

Specs are as follows:

Fully blueprinted Remington 700 (older 1960's action custom coated in matte black)

Glass and pillar bedded in a Manners EH2 stock (3 color speckle tone "Forest Hunter" finish)

26" stainless Brux 1 in 8" # 3 contour

Seekins Precision 20 MOA Picatinny base bedded to action

Timney Trigger

Multiple dies (Forster Bench Rest set, RCBS FL set, Forster Case Bump dies and wilson seating die.)

200 pieces Lapua Brass

Assortment of 6.5 bullets available separately ( I could put together a sampler for Load Development that I would include with the rifle)

All work performed by Ryan Pierce of Piercison Rifles. Ryan built two other 6.5x45 Lapua's for me that are absolute tack driver's (consistently sub 1/2 MOA)

I've been building a new house for the past year so I havent had any time to do any load development with this rifle. I took it to the range once to break in the barrel and sight it in. There are maybe 20 rounds total down the barrel.

I have receipts for the work performed if needed.

I don't really need to sell it, but with 3 other 6.5 mm rifles, I don't really need the rifle either.

$2100 Firm. PM me if you are interested.
