WTB 6.5 creedmore ?

Recommended Posts

i could see it needed sanded down in order to stay free floated so I just did it.

You watched the video of the kid shooting 1800 yards on YouTube

I have no idea what you're talking about or if that's some kind of jab I don't understand. But I do know that the barrel needed free floated to shoot consistently so that's what I did.

I recently bought a ruger American predator in the 6.5.I put decent scope and rings on it , opened up the barrel channel so it would stay free floated on a bipod ( 30 minutes with a dowel and sand paper), put bipod and brake on it, and it shoots .75 moa or better groups consistently with factory ammo. Maybe I got lucky, but I know guys that have the same rifle with similar results. This rifle is a shooter! 350 for rifle, about 900 total is what I have into it.and it weighs about 8 pounds and barely recoil at all. Just food for thought, i am a savage guy as well.good luck with your search, 6.5 cm is a great round

Almost all of those american predators need some work done with the stock as they touch the barrel

no i just dont understand altering a factory gun without shooting it first. my friend has an american ruger also, he did the same thing before shooting it and seeing how it grouped. now his stock looks like garbage imo. my dad has the same gun, definitely going to shoot it first before hacking on it. maybe it wont shoot worth a darn

True, but once I did it shoots great, and like I said it was very easy to open it up. Just don't wanna see such an easy fix deter people from the best shooting sub $1000 rifle I've ever owned

I know this caliber kinda gets people going abd im on the fence but im ready to buy !!

What do you guys suggest as a good factory rifle for about 600 bucks just the rifle ?

I already have 200 rounds of hornady ammo as a gift ..

Howa or a Vanguard i haven't shot a bad one yet, my 300 wby Vanguard S2 shot 6, 3 shot groups (clovers leafs) at 3/8 +/- with Weatherby factory 165 gr. TSX ammo and no muzzle brake, my first 300 shot 180 gr. Partition factory loads 5/8 to 3/4 without a brake, and it wasn't an S2. Neither of my 300 WBYs had any work done to them, they shot great right out of the box. They also make a 22 in barreled sporter, the Vanguards have 24 in barreled sporter in 6.5 cm.

Go to 10:10 it will take you strait to the target, the one on the right is with a 140 gr. bullet.

I sure wish tikka would make a creedmoor or a 6.5x284....

They don't need to when they have the 6.5x55. In a modern action like the Tikka the 6.5 swede is a very capable cartridge. The old Mauser actions severely limited the potential of this cartridge with velocities topping out in the 2700fps range. With modern powders and actions, velocities of 2800-2900 is pretty easily done in the 6.5x55 and Lapua brass is cheap. The 6.5x55 will do anything the Creed will and very very close to anything the 6.5-284 will while being much easier on barrels and more efficient. It's very easy to load for, stupid accurate and looked over way to often in my opinion.

they do make a 6.5 creedmoor

I have been looking at that CTR for a little bit now in 6.5. I really want it, just not sure it's worth the $$ yet or not.

I have the tikka ctr in 6.5 creedmore and it is a fantastic 1/2 Moa out of the box rifle.
