Christmas day hauls - what'd you guys get?

Recommended Posts

Over the years we have pulled away for mainstream and we don't do gifts at Christmas. We make a big effort to spend time with our spread out family instead. With that said we still bring house warmers on occasion. Lol my house will be very warm this season.

New spotting scope (which I technically got at the end of November for an elk hunt), and a new Eurasian slayer, a .177 1500fps pellet gun.

Enjoy! Cask #16 is best savored around a campfire. Very smooth, gentle in the morning.

I can only think of one better gift to get, and you'll be getting that shortly. My wife and I also did that when she was pregnant with our son. Thats some of the best money ever spent. The photographer asked my daughter to kiss mommy's tummy, she went a little freelance on it and we got what may be my favorite picture I've ever seen.

This was a pretty laid back Christmas this year. We are building a new home and sort of made limits on spending for each other. Of course I didn't follow the limits at all. And my daughters are both in their late teens, early 20s. So we are going to have to wait for hopefully at least a few years before they have kids for us to start spoiling.

My best gift was spending another Christmas with my dad. These days all days with him are cherished.

Wife and I are in a similar situation. Saving to buy a 2 acre lot up north. Normally I'm the one the blows the budget, but this year she made me swear that I wouldn't. So i was a good boy and stuck to it.... and she went overboard and spoiled me this year.
