Guest oneshot Report post Posted December 23, 2016 The guy who got into the hand-to-hand with a Mule deer this year has taken-up a new hobby. Made to the shape I wanted from a rasp file, tempered/heat treated, hand polished and engraved "Infidel"... I'm going to wrap the grip with 550cord for now, and then either wood/bone/antler grips at a later date...
Non-Typical Solutions Report post Posted December 23, 2016 I have been kicking this piece of antler around for about 3 years waiting to put a knife in it....it fits my hand perfect with the J hooking under my pinky. If you are interested in giving it a try send me a mailing address and I will send it to you. It measures about 1 1/2 inch wide where the front part of the hand would fit on it. Pretty close to 3/4 an inch thick in the same spot.

Guest oneshot Report post Posted December 24, 2016 Thank You for the generous offer Non-Typical Solutions, I am looking to use one of the oak burls I've collected over the years, but if they turn to crapola I'll give you a message...

mattys281 Report post Posted December 24, 2016 Nice use of an old file. I toss out a few of those every year when they're dulled up too much to use on metal work. If he want's them, let me know and I'll send them down. Rather see them in knives than a landfill.
