Jake J Report post Posted January 31, 2017 I went out by Castle Hot Springs, alot of good places to shoot but way to much traffic. So here's the deal. I found an awesome spot in unit 41 while I was archery hunting. We will be shooting into foothills that are backed up by a wilderness area, so it is absolutely SAFE. And we well be able to shoot all the targets from one spot, this is BIG country. Only about a 100yd walk to the shooting spot. No big deer or sheep live around this spot take my word for it lol. If you are interested meet at the Harquahala exit just south of I-10 there is a little pull off. It's 15 miles or so past Tonopah heading West. I will be in a black Jeep Cherokee with conservation plates. From that spot we have about a 25 minute drive. Bring a vehicle with decent clearance. Be there 20 minutes or so before shooting light. Jake J Report post Posted January 31, 2017 February 18th. We were going to do two days, but we are all just going to shoot Saturday. I want to do a $10 buy in only for those who are interested, you can just shoot for fun as well though. Bragging rights also come in ha. Farthest target will be around 1300yds. Jake J Report post Posted January 31, 2017 And sorry for the change of location, but it's still pretty close to Phoenix and a flat drive. I don't usually set steel targets way out there because with a good spotting scope and a good rock face we can size targets on the face with the reticle and see exactly where our impact was with a bunch less work. And the place we have done validation on paper is not a place I am taking steel targets out to, way to rough. So finding a spot to set out 10 targets at the desired ranges we spoke of while being safe is challenging. In this spot now we will also be looking at targets from West to North, so perfect for an early shoot.
Jake J Report post Posted February 16, 2017 Due to the weather that is coming at the end of the week, I am going to postpone this little get together. Only two on here sent a PM with an interest, but wouldn't want someone to show up. Most likely going to set up next weekend.

Jake J Report post Posted February 16, 2017 What ever you all want to do. I made up some steel targets, so if you guys have a weekend in mind let me know and I will go set them out. Not a rainy weekend though, the spot I am setting up at will be absolute soup.
