A couple buddies and myself are talking about putting together a course of 10 or so targets west of lake pleasant for a day shoot. Targets will range from 600yds to 1300yds in course format with 10 or 12 inch plates depending on how far that particular target is. One shot per station. We are thinking last of March, or first of April. Beautiful time of year out there. This would not be an organized event, just a couple of guys who like to shoot. Maybe we could even create a little points system. Alot of guys on here sure seem to be enthusiastic about long range so I thought I would extend the invitation. I will post exact dates and location as we get closer. Trying to get a head count. We are at about 7 or 8 as of now. Bringing it up early for planning purposes. PM if interested

That would be badass ! I talk to Keith yesterday said my stock should be in by Christmas and have my gun the first week of January if not the second week Now I just need to decide on that scope !!!

I would love to participate in this when it comes up. I want watch and learn mostly and drop some rounds aND see what is what.

I like the golf idea. I can make a targets if necessary, I have a piece of 1/4" AR 500 plate sitting in my side yard.

We have the 18th of February planned. We have two spots narrowed down, both are northwest of Lake Pleasant. The roads are in good shape, so a good two wheel drive with a little clearance should be all you need depending on rain. If the weather is horrible that weekend, we will push it to the next, but hopefully we won't have to. We are thinking about 12 or so targets from 600yds to 1300yds. We were thinking about doing one shot per target for the little competition, kind of a cold bore hunting scenario imitation. But if some of you want to do golf scores we could discuss that to. I know some of you said you could bring some targets, please text me in the beginning of February and let me know where you stand on that. I think we have it covered, but I dont know. Call or text me in the beginning of February if your coming so we can get a head count, and I can give you directions to where we choose. I will no longer be participating on this site, so don't PM me as I will not get it. Happy hunting!

I don't have the ability to be a contender but I would love to go see long range for what it is!

Any chance for an amateur circuit? Lol

I am totally interested for sure, but I am a B level shooter at best. I will have only had a gun capable of even some of those ranges for about a month prior to the shoot.

Why aren't you going to participate on the site any longer?

My buddy and I would be interested in attending just for pointers and learning...if some folks are willing to tudor. My gun is only capable of 600 yrds, but his new rig should be good to 1000 plus. We are just getting interested in longer range shooting.
