Gunit Report post Posted December 8, 2016 I got an offer to hunt a private ranch in SW CO where they have taken several 200" bucks in the past, so I burned my points and put in for the 4th season hoping for some rut action and a chance at a big buck. Well this year turned out to be the warmest that anyone can remember and the big bucks had not moved into the lower ground where the ranch was located by the time the season started. I saw lots of deer and passed many small bucks and finally on the last evening of the hunt I was able to take this buck. We glassed him up by himself and got to 400 yards, 1 shot with my 7mag using 140 Barnes TTSX at 3250 fps. 15 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
