AZLance Report post Posted December 8, 2016 This is indeed a new Jaguar. Appears to be another male roaming north in search of a mate. After comparing the rosettes on the new Jag with the one from the Santa Ritas, this is a new Jaguar for sure. The jaguar that roamed the Santa Ritas has not been seen in over 15 months, and is believed to have moved to another mountain range, returned to Mexico or died. This new Jaguar was first seen just a few miles north of the border in the Huachucas. The area he was first seen, not the picture going around the internet, has alot of trail cams and he had never been photographed before, so it is believed he just moved here. Very neat to see another one roaming our hills. Hopefully our well intentioned Game and Fish doesn't kill this one like they did with Macho B.
