Any good Saw Bones out there in the East Valley?

Recommended Posts

Well my Doc retired 5 or so years ago, well maybe 6 or 7. So since I never get sick I just don't ever go but my BP was high a few years back during a stress test so I have been on meds which are about to run out. I called the practice I used to go to, now in Gilbert.

They said they aren't taking any new patients but will check with the staff and call me on monday.

So, anyone have a doc they see on a regular basis they like and you don't have to wait weeks to get in and see, preferably in the NE Valley or NE Tempe/Mesa area?

I have pretty decent insurance through work, haven't had a cold or sniffle in probably 7 years.

Yelp gives their office staff some pretty low reviews.

I go to the same place and see Dr. David Gannon. He is a fellow hunter that I have known all my life.

The front desk ladies are not the friendliest but the PA's and nurses are really good.

I have the blessing of working with a number of physicians. I have (2) suggestions.

Dr. Sajjad Masood 6944 E Broadway Rd, Mesa, AZ 85208 (480) 436-5194 - to say that I am impressed with this Dr. would be a SERIOUS understatement. He only treats adults and its him and his wife who are the practicing Physicians. If I did not want to wait weeks to see my primary care, this would be the ONLY Dr. I would see. He has cared for my father through all his issues and this Dr. has gone above and beyond to provide care regardless of time or place. If this guy ever leaves general practice he would have big things waiting for him.

My #1 recommendation (however you would be waiting weeks to see him) is Dr. Gary A. Smith 7400 S Power Rd #120, Gilbert, AZ 85297 (480) 988-1659 I have known him for almost 20 years now and is arguably one of the best physicians in the state. Just google his name and you will find out why people are willing to wait over a month to see him. If you choose him. Tell him I sent you. (Its not a referral thing) This guy has more experience than most Dr. in public/private healthcare at all levels. His advice or referrals for treatment are top notch and most Dr. in specialized care know him so he is just a great resource.

Very rarely have I run into a good doctor that has friendly front line staff. These people have to sift through a lot of B.S. everyday so the PA's and Docs can do their jobs. Also, how many people that use Yelp religiously would you ask for personal advice?

Dr Smith is great, I have been going to him for years. It is hard to get into see him though.
