Billinsd Report post Posted September 22, 2007 I bought a Wheeler, Level, Level, Level kit. It is two bubble levels, one is for the gun and the other is for the scope. You make sure the gun is level first and second you level the scope. On my Winchester Model 70 30-06 it is not horizontal across the open magazine chamber. The left shelf or edge looks pretty level and I used that? What do you guys think? Thanks Bill
Red Rabbit Report post Posted September 22, 2007 can you use the top flat surface of one of the scope bases?
Billinsd Report post Posted September 23, 2007 can you use the top flat surface of one of the scope bases? Yes, I can. I just did not want to take the scope rings off. Not a big deal though. I can do that and then see if the the side of the action is the same as the top of the scope base and if it is, then in the future I can just use the side of the action.
