dominiqh20 Report post Posted November 21, 2016 here is my 5x5 buck I was able to shoot opening morning at about 6:45 am. This is by far my best buck I've taken to date. It was a great hunt being able to have family and friends there when I shot. It took me what seemed like forever, which was probably 10 seconds to be able to get him in my scope, because the glare from the sun was right in front of me. When we got to him, I could tell he was a older mature buck, who has been in some fights. He is missing his right eye from what I'm guessing is from fighting and when we were skinning him we noticed he had a bullet hole towards the back of his leg, which looked like it was maybe from last year, so he was definitely a warrior buck. When I took him to the taxidermist he put him at around 7 years old, so he was an old brute, which I'm sure in his prime, he was a lot bigger, but no complaints from me, I'd shoot this guy again on opening morning anytime. 26 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
