Tikka Rifles

I'm mostly just a bird hunter but got talked into buying more rifles for coyotes, deer, and whatever else. Anyway I bought 3 new Tikkas and they are super accurate. Do you guys shoot these rifles? I'm very impressed with the accuracy and tight groups they shoot.

I have a 270 wsm and love it. When they shoot that good it is hard to pay thousands more for a custom rifle that will only get you very small increases in accuracy.

I have the Tikke Lite 7mm Mag and have been very happy with it.

Ya I got the tikka t3 lites. Very nice so far.

Had a T3 Lite in 308 I liked and my son has a M695 that is extremely accurate which I actually like over the T3 Series.

Mine is a 25-06. I like it except it fouls QUICKLY and loses it's accuracy.

A buddy of mine has the 300 Win Mag and really likes it. I would definitely consider it high on the list if I was in the market for a new rifle.

Out of the 500-650 dollar range rifles the tikka is hands down the better gun. You won't find a bolt smoother then that unless you buy a 800-1000 dollar sako or a custom action. I haven't heard of anyone who doesn't shoot Sub MOA. (there could be a few but not much). Down side they are limited some of their cartridge actions and they don't sell everything in the US yet. Also not as many aftermarket stuff like compared to the Remington and Savage are. They only come in long action too. I wish tikka did more, but im patient!! Still my favorite out of the box rifle by far!!!!

I've got a 7mag and a 22-250.....best rifles for the money hands down.

 

Best groups from load development for the 22-250. Varget and 50gn Vmax's.

If I had to pick a manufacturer for a factory rifle out of the box accuracy on a working mans salary it would probably be the ugly step-sister Savage even with that god aweful uglyarse trigger.

Tikkas are the nexus of accuracy and economy. I own two left handed T3 Lites, 270 and 300wsm, both shooters and both have taken their share of big game. Recently ditched the factory synthetic stocks and went with Boyd laminates. For lefty's, there are not many after market stock options. I wanted to make them HEAVIER...but that is personal preference.

 

I would suggest upgrading the factory allow rings. During load development on the 300 I had issues with the factory rings staying secure under recoil.

My son bought the .22-250 Super Light. First three shots in a group about the size of a dime at 50 yards. I was SUPER impressed. I am a Winchester Classic Action nut, but if I were buying something off the shelf that I was never going to modify, it would be a Tikka (or it's big brother the Sako).

I upgraded both rifles to Talley rings.
